The information that the new Microsoft Bing finds will sometimes be wrong.
Microsoft just announced a new version of its Bing search engine that will use the power of ChatGPT to give you "complete answers" to your questions. You can try some sample searches that are already set up and sign up for more.
But even though Microsoft is being more careful than it was in 2016 with Tay, a chatbot that Twitter taught to be racist and sexist in less than a day, the company is still warning that some of the results from the new Bing might be bad.
And today, when we tried out the new Bing for the first time, we saw that not all of its mistakes will be easy to find. When we asked the GPT-powered chatbot, "What did Microsoft announce today?" it correctly told us about a new Bing search engine powered by OpenAI, but it also said that Microsoft showed off its ability to make "celebrity parodies." https://ejtandemonium.com/
Could we have missed that show? The bot also said that Microsoft's multibillion-dollar investment in OpenAI was announced today, but it actually happened two weeks ago.
The company's FAQ basically says that Bing's results will only be as accurate as the information it finds on the internet. That's a bit of a cop-out, but I'm all for teaching people to question what they read and see. "Make sure to check the facts" is always good advice. Where? That's harder to answer.
It will be helpful that Microsoft will put its chatbot right next to regular Bing search results, so you can compare the two. Microsoft says it will also figure out some of the places where Bing's chatbot got its information. http://sentrateknikaprima.com/
